Who
we are
At Beside Still Waters, our aim is to invite children with life-limiting conditions and their families to feel at home and at peace. Our clinical team, along with dedicated volunteers, helps foster a joyful environment geared towards children, in addition to offering a range of therapies to foster connectedness, growth, and fun!
We are a community-based respite home, that hopes to host up to around 8 children and families at a time through suite-like or individual rooms. Our aim is to help families feel safe and secure knowing that your child is well cared for so that you can put your mind and body at ease and rest. We also provide end of life support and hospice services if these are needed.
About the Name
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul." - Ps 23:1-3a
Beside Still Waters comes directly from Ps 23:2. Our aim is simply to create a space where all children with complex medical needs and life limiting illnesses, along with their hard-working families, can experience the rest that is described in these verses.
We all need water, just like we all need rest, to keep persevering in lives that can be riddled with difficulties. We want you to rest from the physical, mental and financial burdens.
