Behind the Name
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul." - Ps 23:1-3a
Beside Still Waters comes directly from Ps 23:2. Our aim is simply to create a space where all children with complex medical needs and life limiting illnesses, along with their hard-working families, can experience the rest that is described in these verses.
We all need water, just like we all need rest, to keep persevering in lives that can be riddled with difficulties. We want you to rest from the physical, mental and financial burdens.
At Beside Still Waters, we believe in the power of respite—a gentle pause in the whirlwind of life, where children can find peace and families can recharge. Here, laughter mingles with healing, and every moment is cherished.
